Transparency, ethics, and sustainability are qualities that we highly value here at Harana. We want you to feel good about wearing our swimwear and using our products, being sure they are ethically and responsibly made. So, here is everything you need to know about how our swimsuits are made.

With love for the planet

Alwasy ethical

Eager to get better
Traditional brick and mortar stores generally require a large number of goods to make their store look more compelling. This practice regularly results in them throwing out or shredding products they don’t sell.
Unlike most swimwear brands, we make just the right amount of stock base on our projections. Doing this, our off-cuts and leftover fabric are not only kept to minimal through smart production techniques, but the raw material left is recycled, saving it from ending up in Landfill.
We also offset the carbon footprint of domestic and international shipping through eco-friendly shipping processes thanks to the Pro Clima Carbon-Neutral shipping program offered by the Swiss post (which you can learn more about below).

Using regenerated nylon fabrics made by ECONYL®
WHY REGENERATED NYLON FABRICS?
0 1
Regenerated nylon performs exactly the same as brand new nylon but gives you a sustainability edge, turning trash into treasure.
0 2
It is made out of rescued waste from landfills and oceans, such as fishing nets, fabric scraps, and industrial plastic.
0 3
It reduces the global warming impact of nylon by up to 90% compared with the material from oil.
ETHICALLY-MINDED SWIMWEAR

It’s our priority that everyone who works for us does so in a safe environment where they are ethically-treated. We ensure this in two ways:
1. Producing the majority of our pieces in our own atelier located in one of the prestigious zones of Maracay, Venezuela.
2. Often visiting all our others suppliers, and have written a code of conduct which contains all requirements regarding working conditions, etc.
CONTINUOUSLY STRIVING FOR BETTER
We want to protect the planet as best we can – but we are not perfect.
While we are proud of our current ethical and eco-friendly manufacturing and shipping practices, and our commitment to supporting ocean rescue and environmental organizations, we are always striving to do better.
That is why we are transitioning to making all our products out of 100% organic and/or recycled materials, and being a completely sustainable brand.
WE’VE ALREADY STARTED THE TRANSITION.
